In June of 2009 I weighed the most I had in my whole life at 205 lbs. I was very upset with myself and how I looked. At the end of June, I got a Wii for graduation and a couple weeks later I bought EA SPORTS Active because I knew I needed to get fit and lose weight. I worked out all summer doing the 30 day challenge. I began my first challenge on easy intensity and once I finished that challenge, I restarted it again on medium intensity. For Christmas, I got EA SPORTS Active More Workouts and since then I've been working out using that. The workouts are fun to do and don't take a lot of time. I have lost a lot of weight in my face and I have gained muscles in my arms and legs. I have convinced my dad to start working out using the product. I am still working out using EA SPORTS Active More Workouts and my dad is getting ready to start the 30 Day Challenge. I have a much better outlook on life now and am so happy with myself. Thank you so much EA SPORTS Active for making a product like this, it has changed my life.

Sincerely,

Julie Myers

I started out at 207 lbs, and 35% body fat (Ugh!).  I'm 5'9" but that weight and size was still way too much!

On August 9th, 2009, my little sister got married. I had the hardest time finding a dress to wear, but finally found one in a plus size clothing store. I was so depressed.  I avoided all cameras at all cost, but still got captured, being the sister of the bride. What a humiliating day for me. After I saw all the photos from the wedding, I felt even more depressed.

That was it. I'd had enough! I went out and bought the Wii Fit, and EA SPORTS Active in August 2009 amd I started working out hard at home. It felt rejuvenated every day after a workout. Not only that, but over time, I noticed that my super crazy high blood pressure and heart palpitations had calmed down big time. I'm not one for looking in a mirror much, but suddenly everyone I knew was making comments about my weight. But they were nice comments now!

Before, people would poke fun at me for being overweight (I guess they think that’s funny, but it hurt. The truth does hurt). NOW, they were all gawking at me and talking about how much weight I'd lost and how great I looked!
Every November 11th (Remembrance Day in Canada), I dress up, out of respect for our Veterans. The last 6 years I'd owned a dress suit that I loved, but couldn’t fit  into, never mind do it up! This year on November 11th, 2009, I finally fit into that outfit, and it was loose! I got stares and smiles everywhere I went! I felt so confident. I actually felt pretty, and I haven't felt that way in a very very long time!

Between August and November I lost 40lbs, and brought my body fat level down to more manageable 25% (from the previous 35%). My jeans have gone from a size 38 down to a size 32. I still have 10 more lbs to go, but I see light at the end of the tunnel! Finally. And it feels awesome!

Recently, I bought EA SPORTS Active More Workouts and I love it! I've even converted my mom and dad and they've returned their home gym and bought all the Wii stuff I have. They love it as well.

Wii Fit, EA SPORTS Active and EA SPORTS Active More Workouts together and watching my food portion sizes have made a better me!  YEAH ME!!  YEAH Wii!!!  Life is good!  Happy New Year Everyone!

Sincerely,
Tannis Atchison

With 2010 being less than a couple of weeks old, New Year’s Resolutions seem to be a topic of many radio and TV shows, articles, and friendly conversations and banter between close friends.  Here are a few little tips to help you stick to your goals.

1)  Write your resolutions and goals down on paper.  Heck…even type them out on your wall on facebook.  Make yourself accountable by telling your friends, or telling the world.

2)  Are your New Years Goals are S.M.A.R.T. ?  Whether they are fitness or health related, or job related, you need to make sure your goals are:

•    SPECIFIC
•    MEASURABLE
•    ATTAINABLE
•    REALISTIC
•    TIMELY

If you follow these very simple guidelines, you will make your goals less vague and more defined.  This will give your goals more meaning and make you more accountable to them.

3)    Remember to break your goals down into smaller steps.  I suggest writing down 3-5 goals at 3 different time periods!

•    Goals to accomplish in 4 Weeks
•    Goals to accomplish in 3 Months
•    Goals to accomplish in 1 year

By doing so, it will help you feel like goals are more attainable, and make those 1 year-long term goals seem not so far away!  If 4 weeks, 3 months and 1 year, seem so far away, try this

•    Goals to accomplish in 3 days
•    Goals to accomplish in 3 weeks
•    Goals to accomplish in 3 months
