EA SPORTS Active: You Got Me RUNNING!

I am a busy professional and I have to confess: the last thing I want to do at the end of the day is drive to the gym.  Maybe that‘s what attracted me to the EA SPORTS Active program. It's convenient and well thought out. In less than 30 minutes a day, I get an overall workout and I have FUN while doing it.  It's like circuit training in a box! It combines strength training (using a resistance band), sports activities (like boxing and volleyball), with cardio (including squats, lunges, and RUNNING which I have NEVER done before in my life!) But unlike other programs, it also encourages a healthy lifestyle.  It's like a personal trainer in your living room! A quick survey rewards you for adopting healthier habits (like eating veggies, drinking water, and making your workout a priority) and doing other activities (and it counts housework as an activity!) Using this program, I have lost weight and started to feel fantastic!

Every weight loss program tells you to reward yourself with something other than food, so to celebrate my success, I chose to reward myself with the EA SPORTS Active “More Workouts” program when it came out, and I love it even more!  It's based on the same principles as the original but offers a 6-week challenge.  There are new activities (like squash and water skiing) as well as a warm up and cool down and the program includes a core workout so it targets all areas.

I am now at the half way point of the 6 week challenge and I am really starting to see changes.  I get so excited when my co-workers comment on my changing form!!! I have struggled with my weight my whole life and even when I joined a gym, I didn't always feel motivated...and I was never certain I was doing the exercise properly.  This program helps me adjust the way I approach the exercise and gives instant feedback so I am doing the exercise properly and maintaining good form, therefore getting the best workout possible.  The activities are fun and challenging and I feel excited when I see how much I am accomplishing!  I even get excited about the trophies (especially as I win for new things that didn't think I could do!)  The best part is that I decide when I am able to work out so I can truly make exercise an important priority on my daily TO DO list.  I have lost inches as well as pounds and can't wait to go home this Christmas 60 pounds lighter from this time last year!!!  I have tried other programs with my Wii but nothing has been as fun and as challenging as the EA SPORTS Active series...I am even thinking of buying them for my family for Christmas so that together we can make 2010 our year to get fit together!!! I still have a long way to go in losing the weight I need to, but this program has definitely helped me to develop healthy goals and to continue to strive for the BEST ME YET!  I am so proud of the work I have done to this point...thank you for developing programs that motivate me, challenge me and give me an all-over workout!

The EA SPORTS Active programs have given me so much confidence.  As a person who has always struggled with their weight, I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to run and jump and keep up with the onscreen trainer.  Instead, I find that I am challenging myself to try new things and it's showing.  I used to sit on the couch and wonder if I was ever going to feel good about myself. Today, I packed up 6 bags of clothes that no longer fit—they're all TOO BIG!  I know that I am learning to live healthy and make fitness a priority.  Thank you for encouraging me to reach my personal potential.  I am so proud of the new me...
